Today as part of World book day we read the story ” Peace at Last”. Mr Bear could not sleep. We became scientists and we investigated which materials worked best to block out sound if we were to make ear muffs.  We predicted which material we felt would work best by giving a thumbs up or a thumbs down. Then we carried out our investigation. We made a fair test by using the same amount of materials and the same clock.  We decided that the material that blocked out the sound the most was the cotton wool.
