Thanks so much Garda Maureen & Garda Margaret for taking the time to visit our Junior Infants and Chatty Kids classes today. They told us all about their job keeping us safe. They reminded us how we can stay safe on the road, wearing high vis vests when we are walking and cycling, wearing our cycling helmets and of course wearing our seatbelts when we are travelling in the car. They told us about Garda horses & Garda dogs and their role in An Garda Síochána. We learned the numbers to ring if we need their help 999 or 112 and most importantly they reminded us that they are always here to help & encouraged us to say hello to them when we meet them around Nenagh. Safe to say there are lots of children who want to be a Garda after today’s visit.
