4th class have had a busy first few weeks and have been working very hard. They started the year by discussing and creating posters on our class rules and expectations . The boys then created ‘Zentangle handprints’ using lots of designs and patterns. We revised symmetry in maths and using squared paper they did their own ‘Symmetrical Selfies’. They started a block of six coding sessions with Mrs Harte every Tuesday and they love it.
In art they did ‘pointillism Autumn trees’. We used watercolour backgrounds and cotton buds dipped in paint to create the leaves. Lastly Tuesday the 15th was ‘International Dot Day’ , a day to encourage creativity and self expression , inspired by the book ‘The Dot’ by Peter H Reynolds. After listening to the story, the boys designed their own dot and then we used the Quiver app to see their dot come to life in a 3D image! Keep up the great work 4th class 🙂
